LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -Nebraska Football is just six days from taking on Northwestern across the pond in Ireland to kick off the 2022 College Football Season.

The huskers depart to Dublin in less than 24 hours, Head Coach Scott Frost and Plyers spoke with the media for the last time before the big trip on Sunday.

The Aer Lingus Classic Game in Dublin has been two years in the making. This year’s game will make it back-to-back seasons where the Huskers take the national stage in a week zero game.

Last year the Big Red lost in a game against Illinois on the road. That loss was a big talking point on Sunday. Forst said the team was a little too tight heading into last year’s opener and that the goal this up-coming weekending will be to have the team much more relaxed but still focused on the task at hand.
