Get ready! We have a spectacular end to September coming
September 23, 2022 Morning Forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The last of the rain will be exiting the area from west to east through the rest of this morning. There may also be some drizzly conditions before the clouds clear out. Clearing will start in our west this morning and take place from west to east across the area through the day. The last of the clouds will clear out early this evening in far eastern portions of the Local4 viewing area. Temperatures will be slow to warm until the sun comes out, so expect the coolest temperatures today to be in the east with warmer temperatures to the west. Winds will be a little breezy out of the south southwest at 8 to 18 mph. One other player in today’s weather will be a weak cold front that will move into the northwestern parts of the area this afternoon. That will shift winds out of the west northwest at 15 to 25 mph. It will also bring slightly cooler temperatures to Western portions of Nebraska. Highs temperatures will mostly be in the 70s and lower 80s. Some in the far east may not get out of the 60s.
The last of the clouds will clear out of Eastern Nebraska this evening, although there could be some fog that develops there later tonight or early tomorrow morning. The rest of the area will remain clear with lighter winds. Lows will drop back into the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday with one of the warmest days of our forecast expected. High temperatures will top out in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. Saturday night, another weak cold front will pass through, bringing just a few clouds and a shift of our winds out of the north. We’ll see lows in the mid 40s to mid 50s by Sunday morning.
The weather threat the rest of September will be wonderful. Highs on Sunday will be cooler from the lower 70s north to the upper 70s south. Northerly winds will be a bit breezy at 10 to 20 mph. Expect plenty of sunshine. Expect similar high temperatures in the 70s for Monday and Tuesday. Overnight lows will mostly be in the 40s. Wednesday and Thursday will be a bit breezier and we may see a few clouds mixed with the sunshine. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will still mostly be in the 70s. This may end up being the best week of weather this year.
