HASTINGS, Neb. (Press Release) - The Hastings College men’s soccer team had little trouble in its -0 victory over Presentation on Saturday night on Lloyd Wilson Field.

It did not take long for the Broncos to assert itself as the dominant team when Lukas Goetz hit an absolute fire cracker beating keeper Eure Baris low and to the left for the 1-0 lead in the 5th minute.

Hastings would continue to dominate possession and in the 31st minute Noah Roblin sent a high ball into the box where Goetz collected it and beat Baris to make it 2-0.

The Broncos then made it 3-0 when Ryan Lewis sent a corner into the box where the ball bounced once and then Ross Murphy obliterated a shot from 10-yards out bouncing off a defender and into the net in the 44th minute.

It took a little while for Hastings to find pay dirt in the second half but in the 68th minute, Ruben Bande sent in a perfect cross where David Panter calmly knocked to ball to his feet and buried the shot in the back of the net for the 4-0 lead.

Moments later, Bande sent a long ball into the box where the Saints defender ended up heading the ball past his keeper and into the goal to make it 5-0 as that would round out the scoring for the night.

Hastings dominated every statistical category out shooting the Saints 33-to-1 including a 15-to-0 advantage in shots on goal.

The Broncos move to 5-1 (3-0) on the year and will be back in action Wednesday Sept. 28 hitting the road to take on Morningside with kickoff set for 8:00 pm in Sioux City, IA.
