While Hurricane Ian slams Florida, our weather remains about as quiet as can be.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Another sunny day is on the way for the area today, but with temperatures a bit cooler than the last couple of days. Highs later today will range from the lower 70s east to the lower 80s west. Winds will be a bit on the breezy side today out of the southeast at 7 to 17 mph with some gusts to 25 mph. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight with a few passing clouds later in the night. The winds might remain a little breezy at 5 to 15 mph. Look for lows in the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s with the warmest temperatures west. Thursday will feature more winds out of the south southeast at 12 to 22 mph with some gusts to 30 mph. It will also start to warm up a bit more with highs ranging from the mid 70s east to the mid 80s west. Look for mostly sunny skies, although there may be a few more clouds than in recent days. Tomorrow night will be a milder night with lows in the low to mid 50s. Temperatures continue to inch up on Friday with mostly sunny skies. Winds will again be breezy out of the south southeast at 10 to 20 mph. Highs will mostly be in the 80s around the area, including the upper 80s in Southwest Nebraska.

Jumping into the weekend, most of the area will continue to be dry and warm while showers will be possible in Western Nebraska. For the rest of us, we’ll be facing partly cloudy skies. Winds will continue to be breezy both Saturday and Sunday. Highs will mostly be in the 80s again on Saturday with upper 80s in the southwest. It’ll be a touch cooler, but still warm on Sunday with upper 70s and low to mid 80s. We’ll continue to see a trend toward slowly cooling temperatures as rain chances start to push east just a bit. Look for highs in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s on Monday. On Tuesday, we’ll see more widespread 70s. Each day will currently feature a slight chance of rain.
