Warm and breezy weather expected the next several days, but fall-like weather is on the horizon

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - We’re seeing a few more clouds around mixed with sunshine today. Some will be mostly sunny, but others may see partly cloudy skies. a few stray showers early in Eastern Nebraska will drift east and out of the area. Other sprinkles or very light rain showers will drift into Central Nebraska as the day goes on. Meanwhile, it’ll be a warm and breezy day. For most, high temperatures will reach the 80s. There may be some lower 90s in Southwest Nebraska. Winds will be out of the south southeast at 10 to 20 mph with some gusts to 30 mph. Skies will remain clear to partly cloudy overnight with winds gradually lightening up through the night. Lows tomorrow morning will drop into the low to mid 50s.
Our weekend will continue to be warm and breezy with highs back into the 80s around the area. Most rain will remain west of highway 83 in Western Nebraska. Lows will continue to mostly be in the 50s. A cold front will finally start to move into the area on Monday. Many across southern and eastern parts of the area will still get highs into the low to mid 80s. To the north and west, cooler 70s will move in. Clouds will also thicken up with some showers moving in to those cooler areas. As the front drifts southeastward Monday night into Tuesday, we’ll see rain chances also move southeast.
With more clouds around, highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s. Showers will be out of here on Wednesday and sunshine returns. Highs across the area will be in the 70s. Another shot of colder air coming in from the north will bring a nice taste of fall to the area. High temperatures on Thursday will range from the mid 50s north to the mid 60s south. More of the same can be expected on Friday. This cold front may bring some moisture, but at this time, not much is expected.
