New month, same weather...
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - We may be turning a page on the calendar but the weather will be reading the same. The weekend out is looking warm and a bit breezy, but should be a great weekend for Harvest of Harmony and whatever outdoor activity you have planned. Highs on Saturday with climb back into the lower 80s with the higher temperatures in the western edge of the Local 4 area.
A south southeast breeze of 10 to 20 mph gusting to 30 mph will continue Saturday and Sunday though the gusts may be tempered a bit by the end of the weekend.
An upper level low currently spinning over the Northwest U.S., will kick out a few disturbances onto the Plains which will translate into some periods of showers impacting mainly the High Plains of Wyoming and Colorado what may migrate in to Western Nebraska. The low will push east and move across the Dakotas early next week bringing slightly cooler air into the Cornhusker state, that will drop temperatures back into the 70s while producing more clouds and small chances for showers Monday night into Tuesday. The rain will be spotty and many areas will stay dry. Those that benefit from the rain will likely be lucky to see a tenth to perhaps a half inch in the more western counties.
A more potent disturbance looks to arrive late next week dropping temperatures nearly 20 degrees, keeping highs in the 50s and 60s. Some showers may be possible Friday but it’s too far out for specific details.
