The Kids and Dreams Foundation hosts 7th Autism Conference
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - For the 7th year, the Kids and Dreams Foundation hosted their annual Autism Conference at the Younes Conference Center.
Attendees were able to browse vendors who had items that related to autism and helping parents whose kids are on the spectrum.
There were also workshops and a keynote speaker that helped parents of kids with autism, giving them tips on how to care for their child.
”Find someone who understands your life,” said keynote speaker and author Kate Swenson. “One person. Someone you can text at 3 am, you can ask questions to, whatever it may be. You don’t have to do this alone. There’s no medal given out at the end for the person who did it by themselves. Love your kids. They’re exactly who they’re supposed to be, so love them and treasure them.”
Founder and Executive Director of Kids and Dreams Foundation, Aaron Bly, talked about the importance of this conference.
”The more resources we can get out to those families, that maybe can help them in their day to day life and help that child progress, is what we were trying to do,” explained Bly.
There will be a conference in 2023, as well as events put on by the Kids and Dreams Foundation throughout the year.
