HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Skies will be clear overnight as light winds in the evening become a bit breezy after midnight at 5 to 15 mph out of the southwest. Temperatures will fall into the 10s and lower 20s, but with the winds increasing in speed, temperatures could rise a few degrees later in the night. Expect sunshine into our Sunday as temperatures finally warm back up. Southwest winds will be a bit breezy at 10 to 20 mph. For some, those winds will turn more west northwest in the afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. For many, this will be the first time above 50° since November 10th. Skies will remain mostly clear Sunday night with lows in the upper 10s and low to mid 20s. Monday may be a couple of degrees cooler than Sunday, but mostly sunny skies will continue and winds won’t be terribly strong. Highs will range from the mid 40s northeast tot he mid 50s southwest. Tuesday will be a bit warmer with mostly sunny skies. Highs will get back to the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. Wednesday will be a bit warmer yet despite a few more clouds around. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Thanksgiving Thursday is a bit more questionable. For sure it looks cooler and rather windy with a cold front passing through. Highs look to be in the 40s and lower 50s. The biggest question is whether or not there will be precipitation. Most forecast models miss the vast majority of our area with little to no precipitation expected. But some do bring a little bit through the area. Currently, odds of seeing some rain or snow are best in northern and northeastern areas. But again, this is not a certainty by any means. You will need to continue to monitor the forecast in the days ahead for more clarification. After this system, it looks like temperatures do start to rebound into the weekend following Thanksgiving. For Friday, highs look to be in the 40s northeast and 50s southwest. More 50s, and even possibly some lower 60s will be possible over the weekend. The weather pattern looks to keep temperatures mostly in the 40s and 50s in the long range to wrap up the month of November. In general, most days feature the warmest temperature to the southwest.
