HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After a week of bitter cold, we finally turned the corner toward warmer weather, Sunday. Highs temperatures were wall to wall 50s across the state today, but as you might expect, now that the sun has set, it will be a chilly night as the winds turn light. Morning lows on Monday morning will be in the upper teens and low 20s.

West winds and generous sunshine will again push the thermometers higher my afternoon, though it may be a couple of degrees cooler than Sunday. Highs still should make it in the 50s.

In fact it will be remain mild the next three days leading up to Thanksgiving with sunny conditions and winds moving in the right direction to push afternoon highs in the 50s...above the 49 and 48 degree normal high temperatures for this time of year.

Above normal temps..beautiful autumn weather.

An upper level trough and a passing cold front will push into the state Thanksgiving Day, but shouldn’t have much of an impact on the holiday. Temperatures will cool to seasonal levels in the upper 40s, but moisture is lacking and no precipitation is expected with the front. Sunshine and mild temperatures will continue the rest of the week and into next weekend.

A bit cooler for Thanksgiving but it should remain dry.
