Today could end up being the nicest day in this warmer stretch of weather we are experiencing
November 22, 2022 Morning Forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today will turn out to be another rather nice day. There are some upper level cirrus clouds passing overhead this morning. These clouds will clear up from west to east as the day goes along. It’ll be a mild day as high temperatures range from the lower 50s northeast to the upper 50s across the south. For most, the winds will remain under 10 mph. Tonight will feature light winds and mostly clear skies. A few clouds will move in from the southwest after midnight. Look for lows in the 20s with a few upper 10s out west. Tomorrow will be another fairly mild day, but may feature a few more clouds than Tuesday. Skies could be anywhere from mostly sunny to mostly cloudy. Southeastern areas look to have the thickest clouds. Highs will again be in the 50s, but the coolest temperatures will probably be with the thickest clouds. A cold front will then approach from the west and move through overnight Wednesday night. There will be a chance of some spotty showers in Southeast Nebraska later Wednesday night as the front moves through, but most of us will just see skies become mostly cloudy. Behind the front, winds will turn north northwesterly and will increase going into Thanksgiving. Skies will also become mostly cloudy. Lows Thursday morning will drop into the upper 20s and low to mid 30s.
Thanksgiving Thursday won’t be a real pleasant day, but at least we will avoid any travel issues. North northwest winds of 12 to 22 mph with gusts to 30 mph are expected. This will bring chillier temperatures to the area. Highs will be in the upper 30s and low to mid 40s. The good news is that it won’t take long to warm back up. With more sunshine, highs will get back to the upper 40s and low to mid 50s and the winds won’t be as strong. Saturday looks pretty good with highs from the lower 50s east to the upper 50s west. Highs on Sunday and Monday will be a bit cooler in the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Those two days will also feature more wind. Beyond Monday, temperatures will get chillier by the middle of next week as the next shot of colder air and a chance of precipitation return.
