HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Not a bad day overall as we saw sunny skies this afternoon with temperatures on par for late November. Could have done without the blustery winds though. Good news is winds will be calming down this evening and remaining light overnight. Skies will then be clear overnight with morning lows dropping into the low to mid 20s. After a chilly start to Black Friday, the temperatures will warm up nicely in the afternoon under sunny skies. Highs tomorrow ranging from the mid 50s east to the low 60s west.

We’ll see a pretty decent weekend around the area. Of the two days, Saturday will be the nicer day. Highs will range from the mid 50s both in the northwest and the southeast to the low 60s in the southwest. It’ll be a fairly breezy day ahead of a cold front that will push through sometime Saturday afternoon. While many will see plenty of sunshine, those toward the southeast will see more clouds. There could even be some showers in Southeast Nebraska Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. Sunday will be cooler, but should still be fairly sunny. Highs will top out in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s.

Monday should still be fairly decent with a few more clouds. Temperatures will range from the upper 40s northwest to the mid 50s south. From there, colder air and a chance of rain and snow will return Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs on Tuesday could be wide ranging with a cold front passing through. Highs could be anywhere from the lower 20s northwest to the 40s in the southeast. Wednesday will mostly be 20s northwest and 30s southeast. Forecast models insist on a chance of rain and snow with this colder air. While we’re probably not looking at a significant snowstorm, some accumulating snow will be possible.
