HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Families came together at the Hastings Museum on Thursday, for the 5th ever “Crafternoon” event.

The event is put on by the museum, as a way for families to discover arts and crafts together, as well as get rid of extra crafts that weren’t used during the year.

”We don’t schedule this the day after Christmas when folks are still tired, we give them their time to celebrate their holiday then this is the time ‘let’s get back out of the house’. It works so perfectly. We’re pleased to host it every year,” said museum Marketing Director Becky Tideman.

Around 100 people showed up to the event, with about 1,000 crafts done and taken home.
