KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Hy-Vee recently announced its dietitians will be providing free Vitamin D screenings at 60 locations across their region, for the month of January.
The Kearney Hy-Vee is one of the stores on the list. Those who go to be screened will do so via finger prick.
Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that helps support strong bones, facilitate normal immune function and aid in the absorption of calcium. Screenings are administered via a simple finger stick and are available while supplies last. Registration is required and can be made online.
Hy-Vee plans to do 1,000 screenings, and it’s available for all as long as supplies last.
Additionally, Hy-Vee dietitians will hold other events throughout the month to promote healthy lifestyles in the new year.
