Hastings College hosts art exhibit from MONA
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - There’s a new art exhibition at the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center at Hastings College, that will transport you back to the 1990′s.
“A Blast From Future’s Past” is a collection of pieces from the Museum of Nebraska Art, on loan as the museum works on redevelopment.
The exhibition is designed to highlight the influence of the 1990′s on society, as well as to draw similarities between then and now.
”My goal as the curator was really to invite people in, really frame the 1990′s as this cultural time, so that they can go out back into their lives and see parallels in the world that’s happening around them also,” said Karissa Johnson, the curator of the MONA.
The exhibit is free for all to enjoy at the JDAC, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. The gallery will be displayed until February 2nd.
