Gov. Pillen gives first “State of the State” address
LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - Governor Jim Pillen took to the podium in the unicameral on Wednesday, as he delivered his first annual “State of the State” address.
Pillen spoke about education and tax reform, promising Nebraskans that the tax deficit would decrease in 2023.
He also praised the resilience of Nebraskans, saying “I believe that together we can, together we will, together we win.”
He also said, “The state of our State has never, ever, been stronger. We, the people of Nebraska, have the grit and determination needed to solve the tough problems, overcome the difficult obstacles, no matter the circumstances.”
The unicameral seemed receptive to the speech.
