Davis ices LPC semifinals for Centura girls basketball, wins Play of the Night

CENTRAL CITY, Neb. (KSNB) - No. 1 Centura girls basketball took on fifth-seed Ord in the Louplatte Conference semifinals Friday at Central City.
With 1.5 seconds left and the game tied at 46-46, Centurion Sydney Davis was fouled. She hit both free throws and the Chanticleers missed a prayer halfcourt heave to give Centura a 48-46 win. Davis is the recipient of our 5th Quarter Play of the Night as a result.
The Centurions advance to Saturday’s LPC championship where they will play No. 2 Ravenna in a rematch from earlier in the season.
