In The Kitchen With Joe: ‘NY Pizza & Italian Restaurant

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Starting in the Conestoga Mall, ‘NY Pizza & Italian Restaurant’ found themselves in need of a new home after the mall was placed under new ownership.

Luckily for owner Mynor Barahona, the old location of ‘Pam’s Pub & Grub’ was available, and they moved in on South Locust street.

Despite the new location, customers are still coming out in droves to eat the delicious Italian food.

“[I’m] very happy. Very, very happy because the same customers support me. I have more business over here and thanks Grand Island for supporting me on that,” said Barahona.

The restaurant serves breakfast from 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., before switching to their lunch/dinner menu.

“Many customers don’t know we offer pizza by the slice,” explained Barahona. “You can get one slice, you don’t have to buy the whole pie. You can get whatever you want. We offer calzones, stromboli, pizza, all 50 kinds of pizza we offer.”
