GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Central Community College’s second year nursing students were payed a visit by the Primrose Retirement Community on Tuesday, February 14.

Primrose staff and residents surprised the students on test day to drop off some goodie bags on Random Acts of Kindness Week.

”This is our second year of doing random acts of kindness day with them,” said Deb Quick, Primrose Sales Director. “So its all about relationships and building it beyond the senior living community.”

With the nursing shortage the world is facing today, Primrose thought they should let these students know that they are appreciative of all the work they are putting in and show them some kindness with a gift.

”A lot of the communities are experiencing short staff. So having them, that relationship with them is going to help in order to not only maybe have them come to work at Primrose and see what we have to offer but also in the future in referring someone” Quick said.

Not only were the students surprised by there presence but were thankful for all the treats they received.

”Were here today, I’m a second year nursing student. And Primrose came for random act of kindness week. And brought all of us gifts to thank us for being nurses” said Katrina Tubbs, a second year nursing student at CCC.

Primrose hopes the students who received goodie bags will pay it forward with their own act of kindness this week.
