DCS boys basketball survives in double OT to advance to Class D1 semifinals

LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - The quarterfinal round of the Class D1 state boys basketball tournament began Wednesday in Lincoln. No. 5 Dundy County Stratton took on No. 4 Elm Creek at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Buffaloes built a double digit lead in the third quarter, but the Tigers roared back and the programs went to overtime tied at 51. Neither team could pull away in that period, forcing double overtime.
DCS put several scoring possessions together to defeat Elm Creek 63-55 and advance to the Class D1 semifinals.
