Another chilly day tomorrow before a quick, but brief, warm-up Tuesday and Wednesday
March 12, 2023 - Evening forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Quite a different day today from yesterday as we had brisk northerly winds ushering in cold Canadian air into the area today. Although it was sunny, highs today were well below average in the mid 20s north to upper 30s and low 40s south. With clear skies this evening and overnight we will see temperatures drop fast after sunset. Expect lows tonight across the area to bottom out in the teens. Tomorrow will be similar to today but with a lot less wind. Highs will range from the low-mid 30s north to the low 40s south into north central Kansas.

If you are hoping for a warm-up, well, you will get one as we head into Tuesday with a big bump in temperatures as south winds pick up. Highs on Tuesday will range from around 50° northeast to the low 60s southwest. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week and a really nice day at that with partly sunny skies. Highs will range from the mid/upper 50s north to around 70° in Northern Kansas. Unfortunately, the warm-up is brief as chillier air will dive south back into the area Thursday and for the end of next week behind our next big weather system. This system could possibly bring with it not only colder temperatures but also the chance for accumulating snow. As of now
