GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Fire Department is investigating the cause of an overnight house fire in Grand Island.

According to Grand Island Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Kuehl, the fire started around 12:45 a.m. in an abandoned house in the 400 block of Stolley Park Road.

When fire crews arrived on the scene, there was light smoke coming from the house. The fire took about 15-20 minutes to put out, but the home was heavily damaged by smoke.

There were no reports of injuries from the fire.
