Kearney girls soccer opens season with shutout of Grand Island

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The high school girls soccer season kicked off across the state Thursday. Kearney hosted Grand Island to begin the season with a Class A rivalry match.
The Bearcats scored two first half goals, before adding another score on an own goal from the Islanders in the second half to open the season with a 3-0 win.
