Grand Island man arrested for drug, gun possession
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police arrested 36 year old Corey Simmons, after finding him in possession of meth, three handguns, and an open container of alcohol.
Officers say around midnight on Friday, a suspicious car was stopped.
When officers contacted the driver, Simmons, they saw an open flask of whiskey under his seat, leading to a probable cause search of the car.
Officers found a coke can that concealed a baggie of meth, along with three handguns in the trunk of Simmons’ car, as well as two active arrest warrants for Simmons.
Simmons was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance, two Hall County warrants, Transport Open Container, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
