Tri-City Storm’s Richard paces Top 5 Plays

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The latest edition of the Local4 Top 5 Plays has arrived. Here are this week’s selections.

1. Tri-City Storm forward Jake Richard scored the opening goal of Saturday’s game against the Fargo Force off a cross-ice assist from Trevor Connelly. The Storm won 4-0.
2. Grand Island boys soccer’s Jalen Jensen scored the team’s opening goal against Columbus Tuesday off the assist on a set piece from Cristian Hernandez. The Islanders lost 2-1 to the Discoverers.
3. Northwest girls soccer’s Ava Smith scores a goal on a second-chance opportunity against Scottsbluff Saturday. The Vikings beat the Bearcats 2-1.
4. Lexington girls soccer’s Venus Sanchez scores a goal in the Minutemaids game against Hastings Thursday, which ended in a 6-1 win for her team.
5. Northwest boys soccer’s Peyton Atwood scored a goal against Scottsbluff Saturday. It was Atwood’s second of the game and the Vikings beat the Bearcats 3-1.
