Cleanup, repairs continue at Park Elementary
School suffered a considerable amount of damage following Friday’s storm

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Kearney elementary school will remain closed until at least Thursday after sustaining damage from a severe storm.
Multiple photos were shared on the Park Elementary Facebook page showing considerable damage done to the school by Friday night’s storm.
The post says the buildings and grounds team has been working on the clean up process.
Kearney Public Schools Spokesperson Tori Stofferson told Local4 on Monday that the roof will need to be replaced. She also said three HVAC units are damaged and leaks in the roof need to be fixed.
She said they are still working to cleanup and make repairs.
