Preview: Lexington boys soccer begins Class B state tournament journey

OMAHA, Neb. (KSNB) - The Class B state boys soccer tournament began Wednesday at Morrison Stadium on Creighton’s campus. Lexington is the only representative from central Nebraska among all 32 boys and girls qualifying teams across both classes.

The Minutemen are the three-seed and take on No. 6 Scotus Central Catholic in the quarterfinals Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Lexington has made four straight state tournaments and finished as state runner-up each of the last two seasons. The program has never won a state title.
