GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Doniphan man is in serious condition, after a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s office, 73-year-old Larry Hoagland was riding his bike southbound on Locust St. around 8:45 p.m.

He was struck near I-80 by 78 year old Marilyn McBride of Fort Collins, Colorado, and suffered extensive injuries, Hall County Sheriff’s office said.

Both Hall County Sheriff’s deputies and Grand Island Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, taking Hoagland to CHI Health St. Francis, where he is now in serious condition.

McBride was issued a citation for a stop sign violation.
