OMAHA, Neb. (KSNB) - This year was all about setting an example for Aurora’s Carsen Staehr.

The Husky won the Class B Boys Triple Jump event for the second-straight year. He did so with a jump of 47′ 9.75″ to edge the field. Afterward, he told Local4 he hopes to have his success be a message for those coming after him.

“My goal was to come back-to-back and being able to do that is just really special,” Staehr said. “It still hasn’t really settled in, but to really just leave my mark for the younger kids as well - just being a positive role model for them is one of the biggest things to me. Just being able to show them that if they work hard, they can go get something too.”
