Police looking for 2nd suspect in Kearney armed robbery

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Kearney police are looking for a second man suspected in a Thursday morning armed robbery.
Police say the robbery happened at a house in the 1700 block of Avenue E in southeast Kearney. The victim said he was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted by a white male and a black male. Police say the black man is still at large and should be considered dangerous.

One of the suspects is in jail.
Thursday night, police arrested 26-year-old Ronnie Lee Swartz, a transient, near a house on East 36th Street in northeast Kearney. He was arrested after a short foot chase. Police found a laptop computer and wallet which were stolen from the Avenue E house. They also found meth, marijuana and a weigh scale.
Swartz is charged with felony robbery, three counts of drug possession, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.
He’s in the Buffalo County jail on $250,000 bond and is scheduled for a probable cause hearing June 6.
Police said Swartz, the second suspect and the victim knew each other.
