Warm dry Wednesday with rain prospects late week..
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Wednesday will be a very similar day to Tuesday’s weather with warm temperatures and morning sunshine mixing in with some scattered clouds by the afternoon. Highs will warm into the upper 70s and low to mid 80s.
Winds will be southeast 10 to 15 mph. Wednesday evening a few spotty showers or thunderstorms could pop up to the west and southwest of the Tri-Cities. As we move toward the back side of the week we will open the door to prospects for better rain potential as a series of disturbances intrude upon the Central Plains. The Memorial Holiday weekend will have enough dry time to enjoy your outdoor activities but there could be periods of rain or a storm threat that may last a few hours. Thursday will be the best chances for thunderstorms for the Tri-Cities with better moisture moving into the area.
For the rest of the holiday weekend, while there will be chances for rain each day through Tuesday the better focus for more meaningful area will be in the western and southwestern areas of the state. Temperatures will continue to be in the upper 70s west to lower 80s through next Tuesday.
