Genoa man facing enticement charges in Hall County
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Nance County man is facing two felony charges out of Grand Island.
Hall Count Court records reveal 42-year-old Dana Terrell, of Genoa, is charged with child enticement with electronic communication device and enticement by electronic communication device.
Grand Island Police said in the affidavit that back in November 2022, Terrell contacted who he believed to be a 12-year-old girl via private message on a social media app. Over the course of months, Terrell is accused of sending the victim sexually explicit material, as well as discussing, in detail meeting up with the juvenile and engaging in numerous sexual acts.
The affidavit said Terrell provided details about his life, regarding where he lived and what he did for a living as well as sharing photos of himself within the app. Police were able to corroborate the details he provided with his state driver’s license information to further confirm his identity.
This lead to asking the court to issue an arrest warrant with Terrell arraigned on Wednesday.
His bond was set at 10 percent of $100,000.
He’s due back in court on June 21 for a preliminary hearing at 10:30 a.m.
