May 31, 2023 Morning Forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Another warm day is on the way across the area under partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be back into the 80s for most with some lower 90s in Eastern Nebraska. Out west, some may not quite get to 80°. There will be a nice little breeze out of the south at 5 to 15 mph. There is a slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly southeast of the Tri-Cities this afternoon. This evening, the focus turns to the west and southwest for another chance of showers and thunderstorms. There is a lower-end chance of some severe weather over western portions of the Local4 viewing area. Large hail and severe wind gusts will be possible. Later in the night, the chance for rain will get a little better closer to the Tri-Cities, but by that point, the severe weather threat should mostly go away.
Thursday through Sunday will all feature better chances for rain and thunderstorms, but unlike the previous week, most of these will feature a better chance of rain during the day and a lower chance at night. The threat for severe weather remains relatively low. Temperatures will be a little cooler, but still warm with highs from the mid 70s to the mid 80s. Both Thursday and Friday will be fairly breezy days with winds of 10 to 20 mph with some gusts to 30 mph. Early next week, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will still exist, but will be a bit lower. Temperatures will warm back up a little. Highs will mostly get back into the 80s. Lows over the next week will be fairly consistent in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
