Grand Island teen gets jail, probation for sex crime
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island teenager, originally charged with raping two teenage girls, is going to jail and getting probation.
Aidan Jaeger, 19, was convicted in March of attempted first degree sexual assault. A judge Wednesday sentenced him to 90 days in jail and five years probation
Jaeger had been charged with first degree sexual assault in a case in which a 16-year-old girl said that he raped her in March of last year. He had also been charged with first degree sexual assault and third degree sexual assault in the case of a separate victim who claimed that he had raped her repeatedly over the course of a year-and-a-half.
Those charges were dropped in exchange for Jaeger’s no contest plea on the attempted sexual assault conviction.
As part of the sentence Jaeger is also required to register as a sex offender.
