May 31, 2023
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Looking for something to do this weekend? There are a handful of events to choose from. However, you may need that rain gear as it potentially looks to be soggy across the Tri-Cities. Our first stop takes us to Hastings. If you are looking for some exercise this Saturday, the Half Hastings could be for you. This event, put on my Mary Lanning Healthcare and the community starts early this Saturday morning. You may need those water shoes as there is a 70% chance you will get wet at this one. But, hey, at least it will be some what mild with temperatures in the 60′s for most of the morning.
If running isn’t your jam, then our next stop over in Kearney may be your next bet. The Yanney Park Heritage Festival takes place from 9am to 10pm this Saturday. There will be lots of activities throughout the day with concerts in the evening. But you may want to bring the pancho with you as there is a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms for much of the day. Temperatures will be about average with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Our third stop takes us to the Third City for the Nebraska State Fly-In and Air Show at the Grand Island Airport. This event runs from 9am to 5pm with lots to do for the entire family. You may want to pack the umbrellas. Because while there is a 100% chance of seeing planes, there is also a 70% chance of seeing rain.
