HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are expected to become a little scattered in nature as the day goes on. Most places have about a 50/50 shot of getting rain today. Some might pick up some nice rain, but most will likely keep their amounts on the lower side. Little to no severe weather is anticipated. While a chance of rain and thunderstorms remains tonight, the chances will come down. High temperatures will be a little cooler today, but still warm from the mid 70s to the mid 80s. South southeast winds will be breezy at 10 to 20 mph. Winds will come down a little tonight with lows in the upper 50s and low to mid 60s.

The next couple days on Friday and Saturday will feature a pretty good chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms during the daytime hours. A chance will remain at night, but will be lower. Over the next three days, hopefully most places will pick up a little something helpful. The severe weather threat remains low. High temperatures Friday and Saturday will be similar to today in the mid 70s to mid 80s from west to east.

A chance of rain remains Sunday, but will be a little lower. So temperatures will come up a bit. Highs will still be in the low to mid 70s with better chances of rain out west. But with much lower chances to the east, highs will reach the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. With the chance of rain and thunderstorms continuing to shift southwest, temperatures will continue to warm up next week. Highs will range from the upper 70s west to the lower 90s in the east. These will be very comparable to what we saw Monday through Wednesday of this week.
