UNL College of Law receives largest ever donation in its 132 year history
Thanks to the charitable foundation established by phyllis Acklie and her late husband, and college of law alum, Duane.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - Over the next nine years, 15 in-state students will receive scholarships that cover their full tuition, while 65 students will receive scholarships that cover *half of their tuition, totaling approximately $5.4 million dollars, which is still only a portion of the full donation.
The college of law says these scholarships will make getting a law degree more attainable -- and help keep Nebraska attorneys here in the state.
In addition to the scholarships -- the Acklies will permanently fund the ‘Children’s Justice Clinic’ at UNL, which focuses on child welfare.
They will also offer stipends and travel awards for students.
