Shower and storm chances continue overnight into tomorrow morning

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Later in the night, the severe weather will drop off, but more showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to make their way through the area as cooler air makes a push in behind the cold front. By tomorrow morning, temperatures will drop to between the mid 50s and the mid 60s.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue for the area tomorrow and some of the latest forecast models are now looking to keep some of the rain around into the afternoon. It will be a much cooler day and not very July-like. Highs will range from the mid 60s west to the mid 70s east. Winds will be a little breezy out of the north northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Showers and isolated thunderstorms should be clearing out during the evening and some clearing of the skies is expected. It’ll be a very cool night and a good night open up some windows with lows in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s.
A slight chance of thunderstorms returns Thursday, but mainly out west where there may be some severe weather. Highs will again be in the 70s to near 80°. There could be a better chance of storms for more of the area on Friday. It may be a bit cooler on Friday again with more clouds around with highs in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s. There are still some chances for thunderstorms over the weekend as temperatures warm up a little. Saturday could be in the upper 70s and lower 80s. We’ll see more upper 70s and low to mid 80s on Sunday. These are all still a little below average for early July.
