Boone Central makes statement in 42-7 win over Aurora
ALBION, Neb. (KSNB) - It’s not often we involve the same team in our 5th Quarter Game of the Week in back-to-back weeks, but for the Aurora Huskies -- they don’t have any lay-ups to start the year.
After knocking off Class B Northwest 50-30 last week, they turned around for a second-straight road game against a highly-rated Boone Central squad. The Cardinals not only beat Broken Bow in Week 1, they shut ‘em out 48-0!
Early on in this one, it seemed like it was going to be a tightly-contested game. Aurora started well in the game as quarterback Booker Scheierman connected with Tyson Dvorak early, but the initial drive stalled.
Boone Central ended up scoring first as James Fogleman dropped back and hit Caden Stokes for a touchdown. The Cardinals tacked on another touchdown when Parker Borer rumbled into the endzone to make it 14-0, and Boone Central never looked back in a 42-7 rout of the Huskies.
