Tri-City Area government offices close down for Labor Day

HASTINGS-KEARNEY-GRAND ISLAND Neb. (KSNB) - A lot of offices are giving their workers a break for Labor Day in the U.S., including some government services in the Tri-City area.

Hastings

In Hastings, the City Hall, Hastings Municipal Airport and Hastings Public Library are for the holiday. The front desk operations of the Hastings Police Department, Hastings Fire and Rescue as well as Hastings Utilities also closed to observed the holiday, though emergency services themselves were still online.

Kearney

In Kearney, The Peterson Senior Activity Center, The City of Kearney Offices and Kearney Public Library were shutdown as well. The Kearney Police Department’s front desk services were also halted.

Grand Island

The Grand Island Public Library is shuttered for the holiday. The City of Grand Island has made no official announcement for its departments as of this time.

Also closed for the day were multiple Nebraska State offices.
