City of Kearney to close section of road for emergency repair

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces that 44th Street from Central Avenue to 1st Avenue will be closed effectively immediately for an emergency repair of a water leak. The street will be reopened to traffic by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, weather and construction permitting.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, the city recommends using the alternate route.
