2024 Bigfoot Conference to take place in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings has hosted the Bigfoot Conference for the last six years, but now the event has changed venues. The seventh annual event will take place inside the Aurora Cooperative Pavilion on April 26 and 27.
Harriett McFeely will host the event and is expecting a good turnout that could match pre-pandemic numbers because of the new location. She said the city of Grand Island has been supportive.
“We just feel like honored guests. The tourist bureau in Grand Island, they have just bent over backwards every step of the way,” McFeely said. “They have helped us, they have taught us, they have guided us in everything it is just fantastic.”
McFeely says guests should expect a fun-time and to learn more about bigfoot and the sighting in Nebraska and across the world.
In addition with food, Director of Grand Island Tourism, Brad Mellema said there will be a lot of things to do.
“They have a lot of experts that are known across multiple media platforms that come in and talk about their experiences and talk about those types of things,” Mellema said. “The majority of the conference is based on that. They typically show a film, and you can expect a bigfoot based film.”
