HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - I hope you enjoyed the sensational weather we had today because the summer heat will be making a final debut to start the week. Don’t fret , cooler temperatures return by next weekend right on time with the first day of Autumn.

Quiet this evening and overnight with clear skies. Not as cool tonight as southerly winds return. Lows tonight in the low to mid 50s. Warmer temperatures will return for much of next week before a cool-down at the end of the week. Tomorrow will be mainly sunny and much warmer with highs in the mid 80s east to low 90s west. It’ll also be breezy. Another unseasonably warm day Tuesday with highs once again in the mid to upper 80s with a few spots reaching 90. . It’ll likely be dry, but I did include a small chance of rain and thunderstorms each evening and overnight Monday through Wednesday. Better chance for rain come late Thursday through the weekend. Temperatures will slowly be coming down Wednesday into Thursday as a chance of showers and thunderstorms increases. Highs on Wednesday look to be in the low to mid 80s. On Thursday, they’ll be in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. By Friday, it looks like it’ll start to cool down even more for the final day on summer with highs in the mid to upper 70s. By next weekend, highs could be down into the upper 60s and low to mid 70s.
