Junk Jaunt is in full-swing in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Junk Jaunt launched in Grand Island on Saturday at the Liederkranz.
At the event, people can find vendors selling antiques. Shelli Wheeler is a collector who became a dealer after she realized she didn’t have enough storage. She looks forward to the event every year.
“Junk Jaunt is the best time of the year for someone like me; I am an antique dealer all year round,” Wheeler said. “This is the time you can get out and see other people’s stuff and buy lots of stuff and sell and meet people from all over.”
Wheeler said she loves the service she can provide.
“I had a girl this morning that bought a pachinko machine,” Wheeler said. “She had been looking for three years because she passed one up. She was so excited.”
Junk Jaunt will continue on Sunday.
