Five Points roundabout now open in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A popular intersection that’s been closed for months is back open today in Grand Island.
The new Five Points roundabout connects Broadwell Avenue, Eddy Street and State Street, and the traffic lights are no longer in use to direct traffic.
City officials say the roundabout will allow traffic to move much more efficiently.
The project cost around $4 million dollars with a large chunk of it coming from federal funds, and the city footing the rest.
