Shooting in North Omaha kills one, sends four more to hospital

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A shooting in North Omaha killed one man and sent four more people to the hospital Sunday morning.

According to Omaha Police, it took place near 24th and Binney streets around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

When police arrived on the scene after a ShotSpotter activation, they located two victims and immediately started to give medical help.

One victim, 37-year-old Brandon Jones, was taken to Nebraska Medicine where he later died.

Another victim found at the scene was hurt, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Subsequently, three more victims were identified at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital with injuries that First Alert 6 was told also aren’t life-threatening.

Currently, there isn’t any word on a suspect being located.
