Police make arrest in fatal Bellevue shooting
BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting that took place in Bellevue Thursday night.
In an update sent Saturday, BPD say they have arrested 23-year-old Christian Lara of Bellevue.
Lara is being lodged in Sarpy County Jail for Terroristic Threats, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, 2nd Degree Assault, and 2nd Degree Murder.

According to the update, Lara and the victim, 21-year-old George Negrete, were familiar with one another.
The update says the shooting happened after a physical altercation in their apartment building at Englewood Drive and Galvin Road just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The update says the altercation resulted in Lara assaulting a 20-year-old woman and shooting Negrete in the leg with a rifle, resulting in his death.
After being treated and released form the hospital for injuries sustained in the altercation, Lara was arrested without incident, according to the update.
