GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man accused of stabbing a woman in November will have his case heard in trial court.

According to Hall County Court records, a judge has found probable cause to advance six felony charges against 54-year-old Jesus Perez San Ramon.

He’s charged with attempted murder, three counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, first-degree domestic assault causing serious bodily injury and terroristic threats.

Perez San Ramon also faces two misdemeanor charges of violating a protection order. Those two charges were dismissed without prejudice, but can be refiled in district court if prosecutors choose.

The charges are connected to a stabbing at an apartment in the east part of Grand Island. The victim told police that San Ramon restricted her neck and stabbed her in the chest.

Grand Island police said the victim tried to fight back and had defensive wounds on her hands. Police said another person was able to help get the knife away from the suspect as San Ramon was getting ready to stab the victim again.

Officers arrived on scene with the victim taken to the hospital for treatment.

His arraignment in Hall County District Court is set for Feb. 10, and his $1 million bond was continued.
