Andrew Collins

Andrew Collins is a Kansas native who is working in his first job as the morning producer for Local4, after being a non-traditional student in school. During his time at Hutchinson Community College, he started writing for the school paper and won 2 awards. He won first place in the feature writing category and second place in the copy-editing category for two-year colleges across the state.

After graduating from Hutchinson Community College, he decided to go to the University of Kansas to pursue television journalism, after a visit to a local TV station in Wichita, Kansas inspired him. While attending KU, Andrew was an on-air talent, producer and reporter for the school's television station and various shows. Andrew graduated from KU in August of 2019.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys going for walks both out in nature and in the city.
