Digital Content Producer - KSLA
Brittney Hazelton was born and raised in Shreveport, La. and attended Southwood High School. She's a professional, self-taught local artist and is now one of KSLA’s digital content producers.
She was named a juried roster artist by Shreveport Regional Arts Council in 2015 and then joined the local artist group, Lab Rat Arts. A fantasy surrealist, she expresses herself through multiple mediums: acrylics, watercolor, woodwork, fantasy literature, and digital arts. Her work has been on display at many local art shows.
She has worked closely with a few non-profit organizations in the community, including Bossier Arts Council, Shreveport Arts Council, and was the founding vice chair of NWLA Makerspace.
During her time with NWLA Makerspace, Brittney helped produce their marketing material and with the assistance of her husband, published the Makerspace’s newsletter. She provided information to the public about makerspaces and their cultural and job creation impact, as well as highlighted local makers and artists.
She began her work with KSLA in June of 2022 and plans to contribute to the news in big ways.
