Shannon Booth

Shannon is currently a Vice President & General Manager for Gray Television located in Lincoln, NE. She works with Gray's Nebraska network of stations, including KOLN, KSNB, NSNB, KCWH, KNOP, KNPL & KIIT. These stations serve the Greater Lincoln Area, Central Nebraska & North Platte.

Shannon currently serves as a board member for the Nebraska Broadcasters Association and Heartland Cancer Foundation. She’s a volunteer for Tabitha Hospice, a member of Lincoln South Rotary and graduate of Leadership Lincoln’s Executives 33 cohort. She previously served as an ambassador for the Friendship Home.

Shannon feels workplace culture is #1. Additionally, she is a trainer with the Power Shift Project and believes in workplace integrity, defined as: environments free of harassment, discrimination and incivility and filled with opportunity, especially for those who have traditionally been denied it.

Previously, Shannon spent 18 years at KCRG in Cedar Rapids, IA. She held several management positions in news, digital, marketing and creative. She led KCRG through its successful transition to high-definition television, the launch of several multicast channel startup operations, the station's first mobile products and more.

Shannon also spent time at WOI in Ames, IA, KTIV in Sioux City, IA, WHO in Des Moines, IA and KWWL in Waterloo, IA.

Shannon earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. She also served as a T.A. and helped lead a broadcast news class there. Shannon has since studied with the Freedom Forum Institute, NABEF, The Adaway Group, Poynter Institute and completed the Pacific Institute courses.

In her free time, she enjoys boating, golfing and spending time with her family.
